In 1963, using PP (polypropylene), which was the latest material at that time, the British furniture manufacturer Hille, together with designer Robin Day, succeeded in the first mass production of injection molding, and the ROBIN CHAIR was born.

Since then, many injection-molded chairs have appeared on the market, and we see many chairs made of PP in our daily lives,
However, the image of PP chairs has somehow become that they are cheap.
Are they really as boring as chairs made of wood or steel?

P.F.S. chose the ROBIN CHAIR, which has been used for public furniture and school chairs in England. We want people to use this chair again now, in the 2020s, because it was born from a desire to offer a light, durable, and affordable chair made of PP, the latest material at the time.

ROBIN CHAIR was a product that opened up new possibilities for plastic in the 1960s.
The chair was once discontinued due to the passage of time, but it has been re-molded and reissued by HILLE, the originator of the material and shape of the chair.
The universal design of the chair, which has been used by thousands and tens of thousands of people in hospital waiting rooms, stadium seating, airports, offices, and other public places in England for over 50 years, is sure to fit in well with the Japanese scene.
